CDC recommends everyone age 5 years or older receive one dose of an updated vaccine, at least two months after their last dose. Updated Covid vaccines more closely target a current strain of the virus which causes COVID- 19. JCHD
Jackson County: 9/20/2023 (Flu Vaccine)
Jackson County Health Department (JCHD) is now providing flu vaccinations by appointment. Vaccination times are Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 3:30pm, with extended hours on Tuesday evenings until 5:30pm. An annual flu vaccination is recommended for everyone over 6 months of age. Getting a flu shot not only protects you during the upcoming flu season, but it also reduces the spread of flu to others. The annual flu season typically begins in October and can last as long as May. It takes up to two weeks
